Every venue has its quirks. Here’s what I’ve learned at The Barns.

Heatwave? No problem.

On one of the hottest days of the year, the bouquets spent the morning hiding in the bathroom shade. I plan around the heat so everyone stays comfortable.

Find the photo pod

The bridesmaids found it before I did and couldn’t resist. Relaxed guests make the best photos.

Use the grounds

Garden games, groomsmen lifting the groom and golden hour portraits all happen outside, with plenty of room to play.

Under the beams

The ceremony space is stunning, and seeing the groom’s face as the doors open is something I’ll never get tired of.
