The Day Finally Arrives
It honestly felt surreal when this gorgeous Hertfordshire wedding finally rolled around. Estelle booked me way back in 2023, and from the moment we first chatted, I knew it was going to be something special. Fast forward to 2025, and here we were, the big day had finally arrived!
Estelle and George met five years ago on Bumble, and what started as a swipe turned into a love story full of laughter, support, and adventure. Over time, they built such a strong bond that watching them tie the knot made the whole day even more meaningful.
Of course, because British weather has a wicked sense of humour, it decided to be one of the hottest days of the year. A true UK summer wedding wouldn’t be complete without a little heatwave drama, right?
Meanwhile, the bridal suite was buzzing with champagne glasses clinking, hairdryers humming, and fans blasting from every corner in a desperate attempt to cool things down. Even the bouquets had to retreat to the shadows of the bathroom to stop themselves from wilting before their big debut.
Bridal Prep in a Heatwave
But Estelle? Cool as a cucumber, as always. Totally chilled, totally radiant, and armed with the most amazing wedding day schedule. Honestly, she could teach a masterclass in bridal organisation, a dream for any Hertfordshire wedding photographer.
Her dress? Absolutely flawless, pressed to perfection by the steamer and looking like it belonged on the cover of a bridal magazine.

Cheeky Bridesmaids & Chilled Groomsmen
While all that was happening, a few bridesmaids snuck off to the ceremony room in search of cooler air. Naturally, they found the photo pod and couldn’t resist a cheeky session, multitasking bridesmaids at their finest.
At the same time, George and his groomsmen were living their best lives outside. Garden games, sunshine, and zero interest in their suits until the very last moment. But when they finally suited up? Wow. Sharp, stylish, and ready to roll for this Alswick Barn wedding.

First Looks & Proud Moments
Soon after, some of the most emotional moments of the day unfolded. Estelle had a first look with her two boys, big, cheeky grins and lots of love followed by a tear-jerking moment with her dad, who was absolutely bursting with pride.
Her boys walked her part of the way down the aisle before handing her over to her dad. George, standing at the top, was visibly overcome. That raw, unfiltered emotion is exactly why I adore being a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire. These fleeting moments? They’re everything.
Rings, Confetti & All the Feels
A little later, George’s son had the honour of being the ring bearer, and he nailed it. Beaming with pride, it was a beautiful moment for their family.
Then came the confetti. And let me tell you, these guests did not hold back! It was full-throttle confetti mayhem. Most of it ended up in George’s mouth, which made for some hilarious photos and a lot of belly laughs, just how we like it at a fun summer wedding in Hertfordshire.
Wedding Breakfast & Heartfelt Speeches
After the ceremony, everyone settled in for the wedding breakfast and speeches and wow, what a rollercoaster of emotion it was.
Estelle’s dad kicked things off with a touching tribute to his daughter. Next, Estelle followed with heartfelt thanks to her family, friends, and her boys, praising them for their love and acceptance of George.
Finally, George took the mic. His speech? A perfect blend of humour and emotion. He cracked jokes, wiped tears, and had the whole room laughing and crying in equal measure.
Venue: The Alswick Barn one of my absolute favourite Hertfordshire wedding venues for its relaxed charm and golden countryside views.
Golden Hour Magic
As the day began to wind down, we snuck away for some golden hour portraits. The light was dreamy, the laughter was genuine, and when a cheeky guest decided to photobomb? Pure gold.
Estelle looked radiant, George looked content, and together they were the picture of happiness, the kind of moments that make Hertfordshire wedding photography so rewarding.

Dance Floor Madness
Just when you thought the day couldn’t get any better, the party kicked off, and oh boy, it was one for the books. Glow sticks waving, flip-flops flying, and dance moves that deserve their own highlight reel.
From funky shuffles to full-on air guitar, the dance floor was alive with energy, laughter, and joy, the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding at Alswick Barn.
Final Thoughts
Estelle & George, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was unforgettable, and I truly won’t forget it.
“We had the best day with Tracy and absolutely love our photos. George usually dislikes having his photo taken, but honestly, he had the best time. Tracy made it so much fun that it felt like we were all friends. She was calm, had great banter, and took amazing shots that we’ll treasure forever. We would 100% recommend Tracy!”
